Let's see if I can post a picture without losing it!

This is my first QAYG square with sashing strip on front and back.
The black is fleece that is serving as dual purpose backing and batting all in one.

I'm hoping that doing it QAYG will mean that I can actually achieve my goal of not creating any more UFOs since I have plenty already. Lol!

mom-6 great way to go with it. you'll get it done in no time. when I started this long journey of quilting, I started to hand quilt, at about 10, I was rigging up this way of quilting. never knew what it was called, but it worked for me.
    Peg- really love the sparkle.
I don't think mine looks to good. I used a lot of ugly fabrics I had and a lot of different scraps. We'll see. I have a lot of red pin dot i'm thinking of using as the bars. I think i'll omit the stars because i'm so far behind and just put in setting stones. I've seen a few done that way and it looks ok. this is a donation quilt. I need to ctch up with the rest of the world. Darn flu put me way behind. love the photos, keep 'em coming.

can someone tell me, my blocks are a bit off 12 1/2-12 3/4 if I do the stars, will it look ok, or is it too far of to match up. I figured just the blocks between would look better. any opinions? thanks in advance

Can you trim the larger ones just a tad more?

PeginCO, Love that B&W outer border. Great looking quilt.

Lynnie, Wish I could help. I don't have any ideas how to adjust the sashing to accommodate the different size blocks. It does seem like the stars would have trouble lining up.

I love seeing everyone's work--I have fallen behind! My queen cat, Olive, has been ill for several weeks--she has a feeding tube--so lately, all I've been doing is feeding her every few hours when I'm not at work. That and trying to fit in a nap when I can. I know better than to try to sew when I'm tired and distracted--nothing ever turns out well. I will get back to the quilt--I like the way it is shaping up.

All of the quilts are looking great! Love how they are all different and all look so pretty! What a wonderful pattern. Thank you Judy for the hard work and great clues. I have thoroughly enjoyed it! Hoping to finish piecing mine on Thursday as I need to sit with my Dad tomorrow. Happy with the way it's turning out. Should be a long twin size.
