Dear1953, sorry about the loss of your friend...it's always hard to deal with and just makes you sad. Love your black and white choice.
Evie, thank you, I'm very happy with the way it turned out
Have to go shopping tomorrow, never thought about brights to match my constant color...gees I'm always putting myself in a corner. Glad hubby likes my hobby too or I'd be in trouble If you saw my quilting area you'd know I don't have room for more fabric.

There are 46(!) quilts in the gallery for the #8 train--great job, paintmejudy--you engineer a popular mystery ride!

    See them here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...bums19316.html

I just checked the Marshall Dry Goods website and was amazed at the low prices. Is this per yard or 1/4 yd as its so low? If this is per yard you can bet I'll be checking out their fabric on my next run for yardage. Lovely selections too.

Just signed up for their newsletter. Also can individuals purchased from them or just businesses as I couldn't find any info on that? Hope I don't sound stupid asking but there are some companies that only do business with companies which I'm not.

Snooze, I've bought from Marshall Dry Goods website several times, and I'm not a business either. Also, the price listed has always been per yard (in my experience).

I got my blocks done on Sat. for this train ride, just didn't get a picture of it until now......looks like I could have cleaned off the stray threads before I took this pic, but I was too lazy.....lol The pic shows the dark to be a grayish color, but it is a black.

Jaba love your #8 its beautiful.

and Judy. I'm thinking of making mine not so large. Would half size make a table runner? My daughters put in a request for a table runner.
Nothing is more beautiful than a newly fallen snowfall all fresh, clean, and white, glistening in the sun, like icing on the trees. After that once, that is enough. It definitely isn't that pretty when you have to keep shoveling it. Especially when it gets to the point when you have to move the same snow at least three times just to get it to a place where you can get it out of the way because it is too high to just throw it where you have been. Its an art, therefore, I have become an artist.
