I decided I would use patriotic colors.....there are some awesome color choices on this train----I always agonize over my choices...I love the purple one and the brown squares with the plaids....Looking forward to the next clue....hope I can use the fabrics that I have laying beside my blocks....

I love to see y'all figuring out what is next. Glad I'm not the only one trying to look ahead! I have my HST sewn but now I'm not sure if I like them with the 4 patch or if it's too boring. Betty & Mama Hen have me thinking & rethinking my colors. I think my quilt needs batiks, lol!!! Can't go wrong with batiks.

Well wouldn't that have been a good idea to use a special fabric as inspiration for my color palette! Did I think to do that? No! My "inspiration" was to use the fabric I have from the 90's in little bits and pieces that I should use up and get out of here!!! Wonder how that's gonna look.... !!!

Have the HST finished and added to the 4 patch blocks but I think my HST lights do not add enough contrast. Have enough 4 patches to change but my Batik fabric scraps are limited to mostly medium colors. So may leave it until the next clue comes out and decide what to do then. The Batik colors really are brighter than they appear in the picture.

Hi I thought that I would give and example of 90's fabric. I worked in a fabric store during that time, and when things that I had my eye on for quilts came on sale Anyway I ended up this about 5 groups of fabric for quilting.
Then along time passed before I can begin quilting again. Now I can't remember what I was going to do with them! You can tell that the greens are blue-green and the pink is dusty mauve.
