Here is my first attempt at this quilt, I gave up after this shot and went back to matching the the hourglass colors within the block. This is a colorway I know but it was the remains of a 6" HST pre-cut bundle that I got when I first came back to quilting 3 yrs ago, What can I say except it was on sale at the time.
Opps I also made twice as many of these as I needed, so I probably use them in the border or another quilt.

Hi I thought that I would give and example of 90's fabric. I worked in a fabric store during that time, and when things that I had my eye on for quilts came on sale Anyway I ended up this about 5 groups of fabric for quilting.
Then along time passed before I can begin quilting again. Now I can't remember what I was going to do with them! You can tell that the greens are blue-green and the pink is dusty mauve.

OMGoodness---never realized I would strike such a chord with my 90's comment!! Yes, when I went into my "deep" stash, I found lots of dusty blue and greyed pinks, peach and dusty green and a turquoise, lots of little flowered prints. Guess this will be a memory-type quilt that I have decided to call "Where were you in '92??" i have been working on the blocks this afternoon and they are coming together okay. Lots of leftovers from other quilts I made for family members as they graduated from high school. Oh, and I remember that Christmas was usually burgundy and forest green, not bright, like today and certainly not red, grey and turquoise, like today. Boy how times and tastes have changed!
Oh, and Sunlite, don't forget Harvest Gold to complete that lovely trio! Sew On!

Windblown: Thank you so much for posting your example fabrics; much lovelier than what's in my deep stash! Your colorway is just delicious, especially this time of year in NE. We are so starved for something other than grey, white and dirty white!
Yes, JeanieG: When I was in Jr. High, one of the "senior" class colors were warm blue and chocolate. (That was back in the sixties ) Nice combo at the time. I've decided I need to get some of that older stuff on out of here, so wondered how it would work in this. I'll post a pix when I get the blocks sewn together.
