Right now it's about 28" square. As noted above, I used 3" squares for the 4-patches and cut my HST squares at 6" and trimmed to 5-1/2". Sashing is also 3".

I'm thinking about adding either borders or more blocks. But may just leave it as is.

Usually go for much more intense colors, but really like how this one looks.

Just loving all the interpertations of this mystery. Each one is so unique and beautiful. I LOVE doing mystery quilt for that reason.

Top is now done...YEA! I had no scraps left of the 2 butterfly fabrics (lavender & purple swirl), did have fabric left of the yardage (lt. blue tiny blue flowers and dk. teal swirl) from stash. Made 30 squares. No sashings, didn't want to just use the 2 colors. So, this is how I decided to finish it...turned out to be a nice size throw...about 50x60. Just in time for the next train!

While I'm at it...I also finished the top from mysterytrain #3...It will get quilted & bound next month. It's to be my granddaughter's graduation quilt; she graduates in June. Only took 2 years! The colors are even brighter than appears...that should wake her up!!!

That is cool, it makes an illusion like the lines are wavey and moving

VickiM.....Love both of your quilts. Very nice layout for #9 and your fabric selection is just perfect. Your grand daughter's quilt is perfect for a teen.

Vicki: Love your #9, so crisp and modern. Your #3 is really fun and I'm sure will be a favorite of your daughter.

I didn't find Judy until train ride #6. Keep saying I'm going to go back and do the ones I missed.

Question for all you Judy devotees. How many Judy designed UFO's do you have? Counting the second #9 I am finishing now I have five.
