Nice and bright Caroline and I like your backing too. I have not worked with flannel but I intend too some day lol

Great finishes, everyone. It's so amazing how different colours made the quilts personal. Way to go!

Well I just finished putting the top together. Used the scrappy 2.5" strips that were supposed to go around the individual blocks and cut them in half and made a piano key border with them. Kind of borrowed "Bluebonnets" idea for setting the blocks, Thank you for posting it I loved it and used it as my inspiration! Mine ended up measuring approx. 50" X 70" prior to quilting I think I good lap size for a donation quilt. Thanks again for an amazing design Judy!!

Christine - that turned out just great! That piano key border sets it off wonderfully.

    Default Getting closer

I finally finished up 36 blocks on Saturday. I am going to set them with a small gray and white dot sashing with black cornerstones. It will help to tone down the vivacious colors a bit, these colors were fun to work with but they are pretty bright. The block itself was also lots of fun to make. Thanks Judy:-)
I will add a 2" black border and an 8" big bold print border that has all of the colors in the blocks. Should measure 102x102 when finished. Big enough for our queen bed with extra deep mattress.
If you look closely at the lower part of the photo you will see the steps one and two of Mystery Train 10. My husband recently asked me how many projects I have in progress. I could not say exactly, at least 10. I have a very understanding DH. He knows that quilting is my therapy, and if it makes me happy he's happy too!

Christine, beautiful finish! Love your layout and the piano key border!
dhanke, love your bright colors! That's big! I need to make a kingsize for my bed. Never made anything near that large.
m-fay, love that! How did you get it to be the perfect size? Amazing!
