Affairs of the Heart - Block #28 Photo Page
#51
The first two I used Razzle Dazzle, then found this Gold DMC, so that would make 28, as I'm on #30 now. DH is going out to get me another 6 tomorrow. I will be doing a lot with this DMC on my borders. There is a lot of waste utilizing the bobbin work, and the drawback is having to hand fill all the bobbins. I also use a tear away stabilizer on the reverse side of the fabric - due to the fact that the invisible thread on the top really pulls on the tension and therefore on the fabric as well. I find I have to plan how I'm going to stitch, as you are stitching on the reverse side of your fabric, and you can't see where you are stitching on the good side. Sometimes, I run a basting line on the good side if it is questionable at all.
Also found (I keep a small egg cup on my desk with water in it) if you wet a fingernail (whitening) pencil, it doesn't break so easily when drawing on your embroidery pattern on the reverse side of your fabric.
I hope this answers some of the questions that may arise.

Donna, love the way your center looks like it's being stretched by the hearts, lol! so interesting and your color scheme is wonderful.
I love the individuality of each quilter's block.
If I ever get some other high priority things done, maybe I'll be posting a block soon.
A mousie can hope! :XD:
