I was afraid to react because I knew I'd have a stroke. I calmly walked over to the AOTH block I'm working on to see if she gnawed on it. Lucky for her, she didn't, so I will allow her to live. I had to inspect my unopened spools of thread to see what damage there was, which was minimal.

I got my black fabric for the background and of course my DH had to go to the mailbox today. He saw the box from Connecting Threads and said"Don't tell me you bought more fabric." I told him that it was just an excange and so it didn't count as more fabric. I'm now drooling over the idea of a purple background, but I am going to stick with the black fabric or my DH may have me committed. He is really great considering I have fabric in every nook & cranny.

I have a friend in Sebring who is a board member and I am trying to convince her to join us with AOTH. Are you reading this Phyllis? We're ready and waiting for you.

Well, I can set my machine and computer up on the dining table in the lounge and we'd be grand!

I still don't have a design that I'm happy enough with to stitch out yet. Block 9 looks not-too-bad only the embroidery bits don't hug the blanket stitch evenly enough for my liking. Block one is pretty nice except that the blanket stitch in the point is ridiculously long. I'm beginning to think it may take longer this way... I also have to order thread and fusible before I can seriously get started!

I got my book yesterday. I haven't looked at it yet because I'm finishing quilting a crib quilt for my grandson to be. I can't wait to start on this challenge!

I followed a previous suggestion and had the spine cut off my book and a plastic binding put on. It should be easier to photocopy this way.

Thanks for the tip. I wish I could remember who it was but there are too many pages to scroll through.

Cheri...that sounds like a good plan! I guess I better start packing!! LOL- I wish!!! Just so I understand, are you digitizing it to do applique with satin stitch around the pieces or going to embroider the entire piece?? You threw me with the fusible comment.

Losie...awww...he'll get over it..LOL! My DH says the same thing when I get squishies, but he doesn't really care.

jburress- hurry and finish the baby quilt, you know that baby needs it!! And then you get to play with your new book. Aww...just kidding, you still have plenty of time, but June will be here before we know it!

Dee, I need to do the same with my book too. I would make it a lot easier. I think Lesley did that with hers.
