Ok, I am very excited, I just spent the last three days doing bobbin work on the next 8 blocks (up to 12 on the schedule) and although I am all Bobbined out(lol), I can positively say that I am improving, yay! There was a LOT of bobbin work on these blocks, so I got good practice, it is amazing how hard it can be following a line, now I can get back to appliqué.

went and did a wee bit of fab shopping today...
    <g> <g> <g>
the ladies were trying to guess what I was making while I was bring bolts to the stack on the table...
finally they couldn't stand it any longer and asked and I said "appliques".
They were wondering if I was making a bargello.
Well, now...after this is over there are going to be scraps...woo hoo,...what a nifty idea!

Aw. Thanks ladies for the kind comments.
Pat, yes, sewing on the back is a bit annoying, that is why I like to do it before my applique whenever possible as I have more control when it comes time to placing the applique pieces.

Mousie, show us the fabs, please :-D

My problem is that I hate having to stop to prep the next few blocks! I wish I had someone who did that for me so I could just stitch them!!!

Patty, thank you, actually this quilt was painted and I hand quilted the whole thing. I raffled it off so my daughter could be ambassador to People to People and she went to Australia.
Painted!!!?? Really??!!  Have you posted a picture of it so we can see it up close and personal? It is so beautiful!

A few years ago I had a student who went to Australia with People to People! It was an amazing experience for him!
Mary loved going to Australia, and she was in the summer before 8th grade. Too cool. I will have to find a closeup of the quilt,.

    Fabric painted but hand quilted.
