Have to agree with your DH - I like #1 also, although they are all pretty.

It's official - I have finally finished all 36 blocks! Embroidery finished also! Need to trim blocks to 10 1/2" & sew together. Then onward to more shark tooth borders. Still waffling about the biggie border. I was looking at the one Aie has in the book & it's starting to grow on me. I am also thinking about only doing many repeats of the corner heart with 1 point up & the next point down. Lots of curlie wurlies & hearts scattered all over. I guess I'll be spending the weekend drawing out my ideas to see which one works. Good thing I have a large roll of newsprint

HAPPY ♥ NATIONAL SEWING MONTH ♥ TO ALL OF YOU!!!

I am thinking about re-arranging the dining room set-up so that my work table is out away from the wall. It's easy to move the table.

Andrea I'm working on my fourth block #8 but not sure how soon I will get it finished.

Spent today sitting in ER and DH ended up being admitted again. It's 6.30 p.m. and I'm home alone but haven't decided whether to get something to eat or just sit here at the computer.

Congrats Kathy! You are gonna be foollowing right after Lesley!

Dee...I'm sooo sorry to hear about your DH...I just hate that ER sitting and then the whole hospital thing. I know he does too...but if he was admitted, then that is where he needs to be. We'll keep you company...anything we can do for you???

Dee, so sorry about DH, I hope they let him out soon and he starts recovering.

I love Border version 1 too - but it does look wide, what size are you doing it? With my 10in blocks, my narrow border was only about 1 1/2in wide, and if you are intending to make yours wider, do check on the big outer border first, otherwise, please bear in mind that it might not fit. I would hate it if you made yards of the narrow borders and then that happened.

Kathy, congratulations, so pleased you have made it to the end of the blocks again, especially after your 'false start'.

I am making 10" blocks. Thank you for catching my error. I looked at the cutting chart and Aie cut her strips 1 1/2" wide and I added for shrinkage and cut mine 2 1/2" wide. I need a finished 1 1/2" border. I didn't have any shrinkage in the width, so I will cut my narrow borders 2" wide. Is that what you did?
