I am going back home to Pa. this Thursday so I cut out all the pieces for 4 of my blocks and have them ready to go for the trip home. Hopefully I will get to work on the block more when I return home. My DGC live across the road from me and I usually have no time for quilting when they are around. So I have made up the blocks and all I have to do is sew the pieces on the background. Maybe I can sew them as I relax on the Patio while they are playing in the backyard Thanks ladies for all your help. I really have learned alot from all of you. Thanks again

My background is the Kona Black. I really need some advice on which needle to use with the pearle cotton #8 for the embroidery. I have some problems with my hands, and it is hard to pull the needle through the background. Any suggestions?

Lizzy, I'm doing some embroidery with that pearle #8 and I find that using an embroidery needle with a larger eye is helping me. I also use a balloon cut into pieces to help me pull the needle if I have trouble. There are some finger cots that we have discussed on another thread that you can get to help you pull the needle as well. Lesley (Lacelady) provided us with a link to order some of the cots. Hopefully she still knows the link for that shop...
