Not sure whether this is the right place, but here are a few pics of me sewing the 'tail end' of a scroll. When I am about half an inch from the end, I tuck in the bit at the very end, then work bach towards where my last stitch was. My left thumb controls all that part while I get the last few stitches in.

Trim off the excess, if there is too much, you won't get it all tucked under, but do leave enough that you still have some to tuck out of the way

    End is tucked under

The next fold is ready to be tucked now

Almost all tucked now, so stitching is resumed towards the point. You might still have to adjust a little bit as you get nearer the point, but you are almost there.

Thanks Lesley. That is something I know I am going to have difficulty with when I finally get to work on my AOTH.

Lesley...for some reason, I swear, I'm doing it like you...but mine just don't look quiteas good as yours. Probably never will...but I give it a good shot! Thanks so much for posting this!

No problems, perhaps it just takes practice. I'm sure you will have them down a treat by the time you get done with this quilt.

so well done,...but you have me awfully curious!
How do you do that AND get pictures of it???
Do you sew with one hand and hold camera with the other?
    Are you a magician quilter?...wow...

She is a super-fast magician quilter. I can't believe how fast she completes a block. I guess I'm just plain pokey.
