I think all the blocks look great and I love the thread color. I think if I make another quilt for GD I will use the silk thread. Have fun all I am loving all the pic's of your blocks, thanks for sharing

Elle, I didn't realize that you were going with black after all. I remember that you were having second thoughts about the lemon yellow.

Your block is gorgeous. I really like the pink thread & I can see the varigation in it.

Yes Kathy changed my mind, it just wasnīt right for me in the lemon, I liked it but like it better with the black for me that is.

I have finally finished my #9 block. I have had a really hard time deciding on what thread to use for the embroidery and after testing about a dozen different things on my background fabric, I decided to just go with plain old embroidery floss. It is a really dark red and might not show up great in the pictures, but it really is pretty on the dark blue and has the look I was aiming for.
