I'm not in this group, but I have to say these are ALL just STUNNINGLY Gorgeous!!!! Even with all the different backgrounds, they are amazing.

I haven't learned applique or embroidery, but wanted to ask if the stitched hearts/curly-qs are done by hand or with a machine?

    Such creative Ladies!!!!

lynnie, beautiful work!! i love your fabrics!!!!
i can't wait to do every block!!
i've only done 8 & 9 up till now, can't wait to do the rest!!!

Linda, i'm hand 'needle turning' & embroidering by hand also, using DMC silks...
have a go, it's very easy, and VERY addictive!!! once you start a block, you'll find you won't go to bed until it's done!!! lol...
and as far as feeding the family goes, well... they know how to use a can opener don't they???!!!???
    ROFL...

    Lennie........your blocks are beautiful!!
I forgot to ask earlier, do you use a hoop or just pin it to the ironing board to place the pieces or to do the curly qs?

I just ordered the book and Buckley DVD that was suggested. These blocks are so pretty!!!!

I hope the DVD gets here quickly, I have a lot of batik scraps I can use.
    :)
