kathy, you stole my colors, LOL...that's ok, we'll all be doing some things a little alike, but still different.
They sure make a pretty block...um, you made a pretty block, lol
I had a busy, busy past two days, and tomorrow I have another appointment...with my Janome! woo hoo! :XD:
If I stole your colors on this block, wait until you see Block #17. It's quite the complimentary to this one!!! Lots of blues, browns & oranges.

Now you are just teasing us Kathy! I'll have to go look to see when #17 pops into the schedule (although I know you are a little ahead of the schedule)...it sounds yummy! I'm becoming a big fan of orange...whodathunkit????

Join the club, Pat. Orange is a favorite color in our house, we just love it!

Here is my first block. Hope to do satin stitch on all my blocks at the end. I am doing my AOTH scrappy and hate to keep changing thread colors.

I love the colours you chose Ann Clare - nice and bright, and a scrappy quilt will look great.

Another lovely block. I agree, changing threads are a pain. In the end I did a few blocks at a time (this was on another quilt) and then did all the one colour at a time on each of the blocks and then went on to the next one.

    Ann Clare,
welcome and congratulations on your first beautiful block! Scrappy works very well with this quilt. Mine too, is being made using my scrap bin and just stash.

I look forward to seeing more of your blocks. Great job.

Oh Ann...now I see what you are doing. I asked on another thread. I really like this block and stitching down to do a satin later makes lots of sense to me. Great idea!
