Thank you for the complimentl. That is the 9" cut block, I want to wait until I do the embroidery before I cut it. I was thinking of cutting it to 8 1/2 so I would have an 8" block when sewn. But I am not sure. I will wait until I have several blocks done and then pin them together to see what I like.

Thank you for the nice comments. It has been along time since I did any amount of hand applique so I wanted to start to be sure I could keep pace.
If you think biking is bad try walking with my son and grandson, both are 6' and I am 5'...I have to take 2 steps to their every one...always lagging behind. I keep telling them to slow down, they are missing the sites of the world as they sprint thru life.....lol

Thanks for the kind words, colors are my most difficult choice. I am color challanged, so sometimes I get some very different combinations.
