I would like to know where I might purchase a 12x12 block of a Scottish cross . A relative is making a group quilt and is asking everyone to add a block, assuming that we're all quilters I guess. I have many talents but I have absolutely no clue how to quilt. I've tried to give myself a crash lesson but I just get more confused by all the terms and intimidated by the wonderful designs. Is it reasonable to think I could learn to do this in the next week with no hands on instruction? Or, does it make more sense to try and purchase a block that I like to add to this quilt.

ps-there are no design specifications for the block...

a Scottish cross would be a wonderful addition
