Thank you, Patrice for the kind words of encouragement. I love this board and the people on it! I will improve, I'm sure but have tried pp so many times because everyone always says how much easier it is to get all the pointy points, etc. but I struggle with it which is why I'm taking that pp class next Monday. Maybe someday I'll love pp, too. :-)

Feathers,it looks pretty good from here - some of us are just not naturals at this method. Any time I do paper piecing, it takes me three times to get a block. I don't rip the rejects out because the stitches are so tiny.

It may get easier for you, or you may find a method that is more fun for you. No one way of getting 'er done is right for everyone.

I'm not good at pp either Feathers, but I do try when I'm not working on something else (which isn't very often).

Maybe I will attempt this one eventually. But, you did good. :)

    Hi Moonpi:
Thanks for your wise words of encouragement and you are right, there are methods that I feel more comfy with so tend to stick to those tried and true ones but want to have a "rounded" tool box of applications so I'll keep trying even if I'm mildly resistent!

Okay Miss Dawn.... this was very painful to do but because it was you running this block of the month, I did it..... there were a few things missing on your supply list....

    27 yards of fabric
    12 seam rippers
    many many glasses of wine
    chocolate
    advil
having Terri from guam on call for 9 trillion pm messages to figure this out.... I've decided that after doing this one, if I ever am in charge of a block of the month, we are just going to cut out a 12 inch square of fabric and be done with it :):) I say this all in jest, it was a good learning experience :):):) Cathy M

Feathers, love the black and red together. Looks really neat on that white backdrop too! I think you did a great job. There'll be no stopping you after your class. We may have to pick your brain for tips.

Cathy M, pretty with or without the wine and chocolates! Your supply list was the funniest! You crack me up!

Great job on a challenging and fun block. You picked well Dawn!
