Summer Time and the livin' is easy!

I selected the Amish Diamond for us because I felt everyone is probably really busy with gardens and summer activities and the last thing we need right now is something complicated that takes a lot of concentration and brain power.

I picked a pattern that I've been wanting to do and hadn't got around to yet. So here we go quilters. Let's see those Amish Diamonds multiply.

P.S. It's not July 1 here on the west coast yet but I'm posting early because I know you east coast folks are anxious to get started!!

Here is my July 1 Block of the Month. I like the pattern so will probably make a few more blocks and end up with a quilt!

Thank you, Celeste. I just went to Joann Fabric to see if I could get more of either fabrics to make several more blocks but couldn't so alas, guess I'll have some new hot pads/potholders for my mom who loves these colors. I love the block and it's easywhich I like A LOT!

I think the block has lots of possibilities. Simple, but versatile, I'd say! My husband started building my sewing cottage yesterday. I'm excited! Soon I'll be really cruising when I no longer have to weigh my urge to quilt against my desire to avoid a big mess in the dining room
