just email them to me and i'll post them for you until you figure it out

by the way ... i think i left out a piece of very important information about the 12" paper piecing pattern for the Cabbage Rose. it has to be printed on LEGAL sized paper and ... as always ... with page scaling turned off.

the same is true for the 12" Spider Web Star paper piecing pattern.

sooooo, either print the whole file on legal paper, or print the long pages separately on legal and the rest on letter.

    clear as mud?

if you want to make the 8" PP spider star, print 4 copies of the pattern on letter sized paper. just make sure to set Page Scaling to "none"; click on the "Advanced" button and select "print as image" (works best at 600 dpi).

if you want to PP a 12" block, you do the same but have to use legal sized paper (8.5" x 14")

you are NOT a dummy. the person who put together the bonus file, on the other hand, should've included better instructions.

however, since "that person" was me ... i hope you'll remember you love me and be forgiving.

Thanks Norah for the challenge and Patrice for the instructions. I have wanted fpr a long time to try star points with paper piecing as I am never successful with regular piecing. Patrice I can top you, I dont have legal paper and wanted to do the 12" spider so I printed on regular paper and pieced with scotch tape. Needless to say while pressing the glue melted. Thank goodness it didnt get on my fabric.
Also I forgot to shorten my stitches and almost pulled the stitches out when taking the paper off. If I ever try ihis again, I will use lighter paper.
Well anyway, I learned a lot. It was fun, even with all the mistakes I made.
    Well here is my block.

I am once again fascinated by a new vision of an old block. if i didn't know we were all using the same pattern, i'd swear we weren't. having seen Jessiesmom's version, i can now see another variation in my imagination. inspiration leads to inspiration. gotta love it!

and she topped me in more ways than with the paper. those perfectly paper pieced points ... i'm soooo jealous! LOL

I guess I'm just not getting this one I'm doing the star and having no luck. I just can't get it to work and don't know what I'm doing wrong even tried doing it with the templets. So I guess I'll put it away for now and come back to it another time. Better to walk away and come back with new perspective then get fustrated and give up completely.

    Hi Patrice:
 :( I hate being a pain in the "you know what" but again this month I can't seem to get the templates for the blocks to print. Last month I had the same problem and you sent me some instructions using right click and Target something? I thought I'd remember but I can't seem to get the right "recipe" to print the block templates. Can you help me ONE LAST TIME? I promise I'll keep the instructions forever as it looks like I might have this problem every month for some unknown reason.

    Thanks for your help. :D

This is my second block. had to try it. What I didn't know until I got to it was that this block has Y seams. uugghh. I never did this before and I never wanted to, but I couldn't stop once I started it. Not very good if you could see up close, but for me it is not bad.
