Thanks for the vote of confidence, Pat, as I'm new to actually-diving-in quilting this week! I'm so excited about this BOM but I'm not sure my skills are great enough to follow, even for one block. Someday I may jump in though.[/quote]

this is meant for everyone. you should try each block as they come along. it will be a great learning experience for you. remember there are no quilt police here and lots of help. since you will be making the blocks for yourself no other person will be judging. some will be great, some not so great, all ok. even the worst one has some redeeming factors because you learned something. even if you never make a whole quilt out of these blocks you will have at least some that will be useful for pillows or wall hangings. none of us is perfect at everything but you never get better if you don't try. please join in.

sulabug - how do we get this block included in our block of the month?

Thanks for the kind words. Oh, and I must not have been clear...sorry. I will be participating to make the blocks along with all of you and I'm very excited to learn from all of you as well!

sulabug, I would love to sign up for a block if you need more people. I just don't know how it works for a newbie like me.

I'm looking forward to this. :) I was looking at wovens yesterday and there was a quilt pattern by Brannock and Patek that was houses and things in a Primitive style that was so cute. Their Woven Basics collection is supposed to be available in December.

I don't mind if the blocks are not 12" and would need a border. I think it will look really nice to have them different.
