I chose this block as alot of us said we wanted to spread our wings and try new things......applique is new to me, I've always wanted to try it and have for the first time this week finally. Not on this project, but on a wallhanging I am working on.

I chose what looked to me to be a simple (very beginner) block for those of us with little or no experience..... for those with alot of applique experience, I hope it doesn't disappoint you! LOL

I hope you enjoy it! I can't wait to get started on it!

Nice choice for a first crack at applique. I like the idea that it is simple for those of us who are just trying out the technique. I liked the wall hanging that is suggested for the block.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I love it, too. My printer is on the fritz, so I am going to draw my own as similar as I can to the original. I am looking forward to he freezer paper method, I think. Mimisharon fell and broke her wrist. She cannot type, but she can read. Everyone send her well wishes. She is such a sweetheart.

Finally!!!!! Applique rules! I have already tried this block--incorporated into a baby quilt I made in Jan. Easy, because you can use the fusible stuff and not worry about the raw edges fraying. I used a machine blanket stitch to keep it in place, just to make sure the fuible stuff doesn't come unstitched!
