Okay, here is my block...my very first block ever. Let me know what you think.

They say your mistakes add character, if that is true then mine has ALOT of character. LOL

I am very proud of my block even with its character! :-)

Heather, Your block looks great! I love the Spring-time colors! I don't see all the "character" you do, but we're worse on ourselves. I do see that you won't have to shoot butter with your blazing arrows. Mine were a bit dull! LOL!!!!!
    Thanks for posting the pic!

Heather, for your very first block, you did a great job. Your points are pretty darn good. I remember doing my 1st time with points and I cut them all off and nothing matched up. So great job. Oh I also like your choice of colors.

Heather your first block is great and I love the colors. I remember my first block it was 10 inches on top and about 11 1/2 on bottom the only place it was 12 inches was in the middle. I kept it for a reminder everytime I think I realy messed up I look at it and say it could be worse.
    Again great job

First block, huh? Do you hustle at billiards as well? It is great! You know what this means don't you? You're now a quilter! That quilting bug has set up house keeping in your head & will multiply, setting deep roots into your heart. Every tile floor, color scheme, nature scene, and newborn baby (just to name a few) will inspire 10 more quilt blocks. Then when you layer & quilt your first quilt top... it's all over for you then. You'll never be the same or recover from it. So, we WELCOME you to our world!!!! We speak our own language & everything!!!!

    Okay, I finally made it!

It will finish at 6". Yvonne & I have been working in that format once a week all year. It only looks taller than it is wide. It is actually square.

Your block changes size when you turn it. Amazing what that third color does to the optical illusion.
You always add a little extra element to your blocks!
Great job, Sister! Moving right along to April now!

That is such a nice block. I wondered how a 3 color combination would turn out but was too chicken to try it myself! But it looks great. Good job!
