here is my BOM for March. It was fun to do, and I learned some new skills. The seams seem to have shifted a bit in sewing, so that's something to work on, but otherwise, I like it. Can't wait for April.Julie

thank you ladies for your kind words, i'll tell you's how i did it my version. lol, i feel silly because i thought well i can do this and not with these difficult instructions. I looked at it and said (to myself) which i do talk to myself when i'm stressed with quilt instructions. heehee. Heh this is just a square cut in 1/2 and resewin' to make this 2 rectangle into a square block again. But i forgot to add enough for the seam allowance, i made the blocks 3 1/2 square ins. cut them to get rectangles, then add two diff. colors together. after i had all my little squares i laid them down to get the pattern of this block. Then i connected the rows together, and thats how i figured it out before i pulled all my hair out, lol. But i sure had fun making it, and its so exciting to see everyone's blocks and how they look in different colors. Denise.

    Denise,
And that is how we learn! I bet you're saying, "I'll never make that mistake again!"

Even if it's not the same size your block looks great! Good job!

while the document is open in Adobe Acrobat Reader (obviously. LOL) click on the printer icon. when the dialog box opens up, look for "Page Scaling" or similar wording. i don't know which version you have and can't remember if it's called the same thing in all versions. It should be in the same "neighborhood" as number of copies. change the option to "none".

    Misty,

Thank you for telling me where the block is. I have visited that website many times.

here is my block for March.

I am using from a fat quarter bundle I've had for 2 years. It's called Purrfect Christmas from Benartex. It has a panel that I'll cut up and use as well. I'll probably use the first 6 blocks (along with my cut up panel) from our block of the month and make a small lap quilt. Then I'll start with some more of my stash to finish out the block of the month.

This is so fun and will encourage me to use up some fabrics I had no idea what to do with!
