i found that it did help tremendously with the waste since you cut every single section from the strip right at the 1/4 inch seam line.

this method still has some waste (its not like traditional strip piecing with zero waste) its not as wasteful as traditional paper piece where you cut out each shape with extra fabric all around the edges.
I'm just cutting our three inch strips the width of the fabric and taking it from there. I don't want to waste time either pre-cutting my fabric for no waste. I'm saving all my little scrapy that are over a one inch square. I'm sure with these tiny blocks I will be able to use again. At the end of project if I don't need I'llk toss.

They're all looking so crisp and awesome!

I might try the strip thing with the next lot. My problem is I just see dollar signs falling on the floor with every scrap.

i've been putting all my scraps in a box.

i think i'll sandwich them between water soluble stablizer and stitch it together like a confetti quilt top.

Cherriffic, you GO, girl! I'm also cutting strips but mini ones the approximate width of the majority of pieces...then I save the difference and draw from that before additional cutting, saving a step.
