Blue it looks great. I too leave the paper on and I pin the life out of it. I leave pins in as I sew them together too. A little xtra work and a little painful at times but it helps loads so nothing shifts not even a hair.

I don't need an incentive to sew badly!

Retrogirl - Oooh, pretty blocks! And I love the name you've picked for your Jane.

esqmommy - Great blocks. I love your triangle block!!

Cher- I'm so sorry about the loss of you MIL!! The name of your Dear Jane is so sweet. What a great way to honor her! And your blocks are spectacular!

Blue - you may have had problems with your triangle but darn girl, I love your nail polish! I know, I know, what an odd thing to notice. It's almost midnight here though and I'm usually NEVER up this late and my brain has shut down and gone to bed without me. ;) Your block sure turned out amazing, despite the problems you had with it.

    LOL
It wasn't till I saw the picture on here that I thought "eek... should have made sure my nail polish was neater!"

Jeannie, we're not actually swapping any blocks for this one. Feel free to jump in and sew your Jane along with us.

I would love to but I don't think I am there yet. I do baby quilts and throws flip and sew but I did order the book suggested by Klue...the one she would never give up so I will understand it all much better.
Thanks for inviting me. Maybe next time!

I love the nail polish too!!!!! And your nails are so pretty! Mine are sorta flat, and I have huge wide thumbs that I try to hide from people. You may see 'em in a photo, but just pretend you didn't please. :)

Your blocks are beautiful Retro. You make me wish I had gone with 30's also. As far as I can see, they are perfect.

I finished my first set! :-) *falls off chair exhausted*

The last block was ridiculously easy.... I'm thinking I might do the easiest of the set last every time, it's a nice way to finish.

    :-)

Taken last night with a flash, so the colours are a bit odd sorry.
