    Here is Week 3, just discovered these new thread. You are chatting away and I have to catch up with all the pictures, the first couple of pages of blocks are fantastic. I have to redo the ....Corset one I am not happy with it. Here goes

    they look great butterfly. a couple of us will be revisiting the corset block.

    It was a bit of a beast, as was BR11, but haing looked at the photo its definately one to be redone.

    So any tips for those of us who are now too scared to attempt the corset block?!? LOL ;-)

    i'm going to try the regrouped center that i posted but i'm not sure that will really make a difference.

    what i will be doing for sure, is a long running stitch first to make sure everything matches up first before i sew in the tiny stitches used for paper piecing.

    sadly, i ripped the stitches out a few times and those tiny ones are a pain to rip out plus it made a mess of my paper.

    LOL, thats when i knew it was time to call it "done" because my paper was falling apart in my hands from all the needle punches.

    Did you have trouble with seam allowances bunching as well? I'm wondering if a mixture of pp and normal piecing might help.

    certainly the only thing really to paper piece would be the dead center.

    i pressed all those seams open while i was working on them to avoid bulk.

    Wow! I feel so far behind, I haven't started these yet, been working on my Jan doll quilt. All of the blocks so far are fantastic!! I really love the Jane in batiks! I really love batiks.

    Well must get busy and catch up.
