This is really exciting, to think that we are all over the world and yet all together. What a warm hug on our really snowy day - worst for us since 1981.

we're being hit with a cold spell too.

the news this morning is advising people to wrap the dogs paws before going out because the ground is so cold.

I just jumped into it because I bought extra fabric and knew I'd be fine should I have to start over several times. I'll probably re-do yesterdays because I think it's a bit short...but for a first try, I think it went really well.

Amma's tutorial on the board is fantastic...she's the PP go-to-gal and I also like the General Instructions sheet at www.patchpieces.com since I'm so visual. It seems really overwhelming if you're accustomed to rotary piecing but it's something you really just have to DO to get the hang of. You'll be fine and the board members are here to help.

While we don't live close to one another, I'd have to say I feel like someone is always on here with an encouraging word and helpful tip to get us unstuck and I'm not sure I'd call you or show up at your door step at 2am but I can with the board!! =)

WOW! Everyone's block are just beautiful. It's so much fun to see the same blocks in different colorways. This is my first weeks blocks. I decided to use Civil War fabrics so not only can I do my DJ but can also use the blocks for show-n-tell with my Civil War quilting group.
