No.... I'm not doing a normal sashing, mine will be the Storm at Sea setting, which means squares in squares and a LOT more piecing. I don't want to get to the end and have to do all the sashing in one hit, so I'm planning on adding mine as I go to minimise the stress and work.
I love your sashing. If I still have my wits about me when we're done, I may do it also.
You'll need to remember Blue's tip about the sashing...if you are doing anything other than the 1/2"....the triangles need to be resized...she posted all about it on an earlier page. Just a heads up...
Thanks for the heads up! I think I miss little chunks of communication here and there. I appreciate it! Hugs

The trick is remembering to click that little box that says "take size from quilt". I always print my patterns from my project in the software that is set with the sashing, so that I know the size is right. Still have to keep ticking that box though, it's a shame it can't be set as a default.

I just read this thread on the Dear Jane blocks (yes, all 31 pages!!) and you all are doing a wonderful job and are very inspirational! I may actually try a few and see how I do. This may be a project I can take in the motorhome!!

Keep up the good work and all the great tutorials and photos.

i think the dear jane blocks are a great travel along project. the size is perfect for it and most of the time the easiest way to piece them is by hand.

i get so caught up with my sewing machine and all the technology we have and i loose sight of the fact the Jane Stickle hand pieced everything.

Klue, good point. I took my paper piecing directions with me to the dentist office and prepped everything while sitting in the waiting room.
