We have two of those fun magnets stuck to our fridge which say, "THIS HOUSE WAS CLEANED LAST WEEK, SORRY YOU MISSED IT"
The other says, "DUST TESTING IN PROGRESS. DO NOT DISTURB THE SAMPLES".

Personally my house is always being dust tested

    :D

DH & i have a "just pop by" relationship with everyone and they know its hit or miss on the cleanliness of the house.

the only room that is 100% spotless all the time is the room used to meet clients.

I always have my kitchen clean (cause that is the entry to my home) and my bathroom, other than that let the dust bunnies collect and multipy! :D

Good fridge magnets. Why dust when you can sew. :-D When she sees the sewing projects she will understand why the house is a mess.

The trick is to set out several "Get Well" cards on your mantle or tabletop. That way she'll think you weren't feeling good and that's why you haven't cleaned!
