my jane was defin. a big learning curve for me. as i quilt blocks, i think to myself, 'wow' i can tell that was one of the lst ones'. etc. but the granddaughter will just think i wanted it the way it was. i am so glad i did it. getting towards the end of quilting it.

my most daunting block to date (not quite finished with mine yet) was definately D-11 i did that one for the blue/white/gold block that klue did and wound up throwing it across the room. when i told my Mom that i had thrown it she said "wow that is not like you." she has watched me rip out seam after seam on something i was making and not even break a sweat. D-11 actually made me cry. my advice on this one is to see if you can rework it to make it easier for you.

yes i made 18 of the little buggers for the swap and when i got all of the swap blocks back i used that D11 in my scrappy happy. had a practice one that i had done in red and blue and that went into my reds singing the blues. swore i would never do that one again but am thinking about seeing if i can redraft it.

Sandpat, your link went to page 160 of the original DJ thread, but I find no photo of the quilting.

Would you mind posting the message # for those of us who are using a non-standard # of messages per page? Thanks!
