Welcome redmadder & Merry Christmas everyone [Steph got home after surgery last night and yep - it is a great Christmas for our family!!]

I will do one better redmadder by posting it again. btw - if you go up to "settings" click on it and then go down to "general settings" under "my account" you can reset the number of posts per page. There are few posts per page in the default setting. I have my account changed to 20 posts per page and that brings us to page 28. I've also told people to please refer to the post number at the upper right corner of the post [yours was #550] instead of the page because some members have their settings different - this is page 55 for you, 28 for me, and could be 12 for someone else. Wow if you did the hardest ones already - this will really be a breeze!! I took Brenda's list of difficulty levels and color coded the schedule. We will be starting mid January!

    Merry Christmas!!!

Today I can officially use my DJ software. (MY gift to me.) So I've downloaded to my computer and printed some journal pages. I started going through the fabrics I've been collecting since this thread started. I Have a new DJ-BFF?, Fraew, who sent me the prettiest pink and brown collection. <3 you Fraew!!! Your prizes will be in the mail before the end of the week!!!

I think we are all in such different points in our lives. Each individual challenges and joys. My DearJane will be my FUN place to go!!! And I thank you Cre8tvlwyr for starting this!!! I am new to so many of these techniques. And even though we haven't officially started... I've already learned so much from so many of you. I hope I can keep up.

I feel corney typing all this. But, I thank you. And again...Merry Christmas!!

    merry christmas everyone!

i've only made 1 block so far, which is A1... i've just had surgery on my right hand for carpal tunnel last tuesday. i will be trying to get back to sewing very soon.
it's a shame i will be trying to catch up, even as this sew-along has just started! never mind!

i will be 'QAYG', which i think will make life a lot easier!

    enjoy your boxing day ladies!!
    love jacquie xxx

Yep, I'm in! I just read the schedule in post #551. What a great job you did Cre8tvlwyr! Civil War is my favorite fabric category and I love detailed patterns and applique. I think I will have a much better chance of finishing this quilt in a reasonable time if I am motivated by being in a group like this. I just asked my husband to order the software for me. Thank you so much for starting this group.

I've seen a QAYG tutorial where she quilted the square and the batting, then added the back and quilted the sashing. Now I can't remember where? Anyone? BTW, I think C-7 is the hardest one. What's your opinion?
