Elizabeth (Imak) is still a bit under the weather and needs to postpone her turn until sometime in the near future.

Since most of us are up to our eyeballs already in holiday preparations, I had considered suggesting we take the rest of the month "off" and skip the 15 Dec block. BUT I forgot to ask you all how you felt about that. AND the 15th came and went before I knew it.

    Sooooooooooooo, here's an unofficial alternative.

If we had started in January, and had picked two per month from that starting point, we'd have 24 blocks including 15 Dec. (Which also happens to be an ideal number for a good sized lap quilt.) I counted the blocks we've had to choose from so far (20), then went to my favorite block site and picked out 4 blocks i hope are super easy.

    #24 - Whirling Geese

Before you show up at my house with pitchforks and torches, remember this: I'm already 4 blocks "behind" myself, so I've just doubled my own "guilt".

It isn't my turn, so please feel free to either think of one or more of these as blocks for our collection or to decide who-does-she-think-she-is-and-she-must-be-out-of-her-pea-pickin'-mind-if-she-thinks-i'm-gonna-make-even-one-of-them.

If you do decide to surround me with those pitchforks and torches, please call ahead. I'll have the marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers ready. :P

I didn't participate in the BOM for this yr. at all. But, will give it a try in the New Year. You are all so sweet and helpful, I know I don't need to be shy if I have to ask questions.

It works for me thanks Patrice. Now I just need to convert the whirling geese to a 12 " block and I'll frame the basket to make it 12"

well Dear Patrice I know you're from the south but it's " ever-lovin' mind and pea pickin hands" LOL
I envy anybody who has the time or the energy to do any of them right now but thanks for the choices. Hope IMAK gets out of the weather soon!
