Hello all, I have been away a few weeks quilting some UFOs. Finished one and lack three sides of the border on the second. So I have not worked on the Medallion quilt lately. Plan on returning in May. Will have lots of ideas to work from due to Elisabrat and Jaba. Loved looking at everyone's borders. They all or fantastic! Will try to post pictures when next border added.

jillmc--looks good. I don't think I would have chose the dark blue, but really like how it looks together! Always great to see what others do so I can maybe try something different!

Finished round #4 yesterday. It's now or never to make it into a rectangle. Can't decide whether to make it into a twin size rectangle or just go for a more square queen.

Please ignore the weeds at the bottom of the picture. See what happens when you sew instead of doing chores.

Thanks MamaHen. It's at 54". Or...I could turn it on point and just add some triangles. After another round, of course.

Wow like the ribbon, jillmc. They do add a neat twist. I see you didn't have a "pp" point problem. I should have added a little more float and so some of mine are nipped, which really bothers me but I rationalized by saying it was next to printed fabric so not too noticeable, but I had it with ripping and re-sewing. A lesson for next time.

Whitepine, I sure like the rust colored squares in the border. Seems to ground it. If you turn it on point, it will surely be bigger quick! Very pretty.

I am auditioning the next one now. Decided not to wait and "get 'er done." Have been babying my machine along and today was the last straw. It is in the trunk so I can drop it off at the repair shop while I am gone for a few days. She is 45 years old and this is the first major re-do so can't complain too much. She has been through a lot.

White pine, it's beautiful! I love your offset piano key border....reminds me of a pretty picket fence! And I like your ribbon corners....may I copy them? Please?

Quilter 65, your points look absolutely flawless!

    Off to tend the flowerbeds....

Jill: I want so badly to do a applique center, every time I see the next round on yours I get so envious. Great job! Whitepine: Yours is so balanced and at the same time so dynamic, love the color choices. I used the checkerboard on the back of my Celtic Solstice and couldn't believe the amount of energy it generates. Quilter65: You have my sympathy about your poor baby. The longer I use something the more attached I come to it. Hope the fix is cheap and she comes home soon. One thing I have noticed is the close ups of the fabric choices are really amazing. You see the overall design from a distance but the close ups show the richness of color, I think a big part of the magic that is a quilt. Congratulations everyone on some great projects.
