The borders I posted this morning are both 4 1/2" wide unfinished. When they are sewn to your center it should measure 4 1/4". Love the centers all of you are posting, going to be some beautiful quilts made. Excited to see if more is sewn tomorrow. Will check in the morning to see if there are any other questions, been sewing all day, the old back is suffering for it tonight. I think the hot pad is calling my name.

Could I please ask a favor? I think I have the center and will have by the end of the week. When you are posting the information for the blocks for the borders, could you please also give the finished dimensions? I know I could get there by doing the actual block, but it would just help me immensely if you would mention that this block should finish to 6" or 6.5" unfinished, or 3 or whatever it is? Maybe it is just me, but I think it would help me or did I miss that information and it was already given? Thank you.

carriem, if your center is 18 1/2", your 1st border needs to be 3 1/2" by 3 1/2"unfinished instead of the 4 1/2" size unless you want to put just a fill in square in each corner. If you will make your round at 3 1/2" then your center will measure 24 1/4" after the round is attached and you will be back on track for the 4 1/2 - 6 1/2" sizes. It's up to you but I think you will find it much easier to go that route. "brat" and I have worked on both sizes in the other RR's that we are in and the 4 1/2" and 6 1/2" rounds come out more even and you don't have to do a bunch of math on each and every round for your quilt. If you need some help just ask and between the two of us we can figure that out, depending on what border you want to start with.

Wow I am loving all the centers I have seen so far. I especially love W4Me's Tall Cat. Here is a picture of my center a version of four cabin blocks put together.

My first round I want to try the EntwinedBorder from
http://www.quilterscache.com/E/EntwinedBorder.html
I need to add another two inch border around my blocks so the Entwined Border will fit properly. So now to figure out what color fabric to add to make my square the right size for the Entwined Border. Wow this is going to be lots of sewing.
