I was having so much fun today making those hour glass blocks of jaba's for the first round. and once I remembered how to use, the ruler I "could' find, they were much more accurate. got sidetracked on PP for a couple years. and lost some skills. But I spent all afternoon just making little hourglass blocks. they do take a lot of time. have the grandson tomorrow, so prob won't get the 4th side made, but all the pieces are cut. and I used every little scrap of material I could find of one color in my 'scrap' box. good thing, I didn't have to make another block.
    New Zealand? wow, have fun.

Glad to hear you're enjoying making those hour glass blocks sewNso, I have to agree you do have to be pretty accurate with cutting and sewing. Picked that because I also wanted to make myself better at sewing them. dotcom- doing a second one, good for you I love it. Nice looking batiks in that center, love the looks of it. rodney it's only 1 round at the 1st of every month, so you have a whole month to get it done.
Sorry ladies you will have to wait until the 1st for the next round, I know I am the world's worst person for waiting, I always want to get it done, but.......ms. brat will be at my doorstep in a second with a big bat in her hand ready to pound the living you know what out of me if I even try to sneak a round in. Well and besides that, I don't have one ready for you to do yet

[QUOTE=Pam H;6499225]Finally done with my center. Decided to go Batik scrappy. This took me way too many hours. The first border will have to wait a bit.

Pam I love your centre block. Looking forward to see what border you will add to it.

BTW What is the name of the block?

I am loving everyone's quilts so far.
Now this one really looks sharp. Well balanced and nothing overshadows the other. Love it.

Pam, that is a very striking block. Your color choices are outstanding. Can't wait to see what you decide for your first row, and the colors!!!
