Sheri, maybe just a plain, not pieced, border with that floral fabric.

Sheri I agree, a solid border vs pieced board her may look nice. before doing the next round.

SheriR. if you have some of the mauve fabric from your first border and put a border about 1/2 that width it would act as a pause for the eye before heading into a border with that beautiful flowered fabric.
Vicki, love that center fabric, how adorable! The intertwined border you chose is perfect for it.

I'm a HUGE Laurel Birch fan too! I'm going to dig into my cat stash and see what jumps out at me. I swore I wouldn't sign on for ANY more quilts until I'm done with what's already in the queue, but this looks like so much fun and SO do-able. I'm a newbie quilter and eager to try some of everything!

Welcome aboard dutchie. Should be pretty interesting to see how different the two quilts are using the same basic fabrics. I'm up to my eyeballs, also, but I figured I might be able to handle once per month. And I've been promising my two kitties a quilt for a while now so this worked out well. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

The winds are blowing strong today in WY. My sweetie was outside having a smoke and the wind took his full coffee cup off the railing. I am watching this documentary on the dustbowl of 1930's and its so overwhelmingly sad. The people who lived this... wow. I am so thankful its only windy for sure. Amazing how lucky we are to have not to go through this. Boggling. Maybe I need a cooking show? lol then I will just get hungry not boggled!

I am happy and sad! I can not quilt for a few days! how very sad!! my kids are coming and the house is rather small so we need the dinner table for actually eating. HORRORS! but happy they are coming to share a few meals with us winning situation I the end.
