OK: Just to give you a quick answer. Jabba or Brat will be along with a better one. You have an odd size, just as I did. Of that 32 inch amount .5 inch is seam allowance. I added 4.5 inches, 2.25 inches on each side. This will give you 36 inches finished or 36.5 overall measurement. To keep your blocks easy to measure I would use divisible by 3. If you decide on a three inch finished block then your block, pieced but not sewn together should measure 3.5 inches. If an 6 or 9 inch finished block, it should measure 6.5 or 9.5 before joined. So if you decide on a 6 inch finished you will have six blocks on two sides and eight blocks on the other two sides. Hope I didn't just muddy the waters.

admiring all your 2nd round ladies. I'm working on something else for a couple days, till I get tired of it. worked on BHSC for a couple days. got a lot done, now I am sashing my FWQ. it is going together soooo good.
my medallion quilt meaures 32 inches right now, and since it was black with green, I was thinking about the material I wanted to use next, and I was hoping you all would give me some ideas. because I liked both brats and jaba's clues. think I might do the ribbon. thx for the nice pic's.

Finally finished with my first round. Can't believe how many hours this took me. The next round will have to wait until the batiks I ordered today arrive.
    I am loving everyone's quilts.

Love all the second border additions so far.

I am doing jaba's pinwheels but not finished yet. Just a note to anyone else doing this border - make sure that all your pinwheels are turning in the same direction. Ask me how I found out...?

Just finished this up...I worry that this round is too light...the light fabric is actually an off-white with little pink dots. The quilt is now 36 1/2 sq. so I think I will add to the length before putting on the next border. I don't care for square quilts for adults. I love this border............

I just love all the borders...my favorite, so far, is the cat! Lots of eye-candy on this thread!
