Darcene, The light bulb finally went off!!! I got it, I got it, by accident-- but I got it and now reading what you said finally makes sense. the process is alot smoother for me now. I love this board !! Anne
Anne, you have been so much help to me and to others here that I am glad I could finally help you out....it took me awhile to pick up the paper piecing but once you "get it" it is amazing what you can do with it.....

Hi all! Have not been on for awhile. Busy with midterms.

I am several blocks behind and hoping to catch up this week. :)

I see some are using Quilt Assist. Since I love to PP, will this help me with printing out the pattern so that I can do more blocks PPing? I really would like to find a bit of a shortcut for some of the pointy blocks.

Lovin all the blocks. Looks like we have added a few new folks. Great!

Good news coming. We will be able to share pp foundations. I read it on the Yahoo site. I'm sure it will apply here also. just waiting for the confirmation. Anne

Here are my 17 & 18. I've done the Cats & Mice in a 12" size, but this is the first time in 6". What a cute small block it makes! I may have to do more of these someday. Century of Progress isn't my favorite with the color layout so I made the background with similar fabrics and it made the oddness is less noticeable.

piledriver, I love the fabrics in #18! They look so old-fashioned; they remind me of the material I got from my aunt's stash. Very pretty!

sewcornie, that's a great idea on block #18, using similar fabrics in the background. When I get up to these blocks, I think I'll do the same thing. Great looking blocks!

Everybodies blocks look Wonderful! I love seeing the different color selections.
I finally have these two blocks done.
Actually I have 4 of the Century of Progress, the first one was when I first started I thought it would be one of the harder ones so tried it first in the 3" size but scrappy. When I decided to go with the 3" blocks I decided to them in the 30's, but I forgot I had one started and got another one all cut out and ready to go sooooo...I finished both of them, and then the 4th one is the 4 " size in the scrappy. All of them ended up with the center points off.The Cat and Mice block finally came together after I changed the sections for paperpiecing that my EQ7 suggested. I will get back to the sewing machine and see if I can a couple more done today. :(

I'm thinking that if I tried to do a 3" block like you've done --my fingers would br sewn together instead of the fabric!!!

I agree with you, Honchey. The 6" size is small enough for me.
