OKSGlad ..... Soooooooooooo does that seal the deal for you? Just go ahead and order that darned book, woman! You know, as a Christmas present .... From Me; To Me!!!! Speaking of which, I have not done "that" shopping yet. Wonder what it should be this year?

GrannyQ .... yeaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Glad you are joining us!

JeanieG .... Great news on the #22, soon to be #23, with OK!

Me? .... no Pony Clubbing or FWSing these days. It's been all about Christmas!! House decorated, check. Tree Trimmed, check. Turkey Dinner last night, check. Christmas exchange table topper yet to be finished .... bought a bunch of thread the other day for it. Me-thinks I now have a new problem ... I'm starting to stash thread. Pretty ones! Variegateds! Different weights! So once that Christmas gift is made then I can get back to being serious with the FWS.

I see QuiltE has been taking care of the "campfire". Good Job!!!.
I don't remember if I mentioned that Laurie has done some follow up geneology on the kids in the book and has given me permission to post it here. Every week the follow up will be for a different child. Very nice of her!!!
19 days to go before we hit the trail. Honchey

This book is self-published, and Laurie was fanatical about making it perfect. Laurie, her technical editor, and I proofed the pages *multiple* times. And every time I entered even a small correction, Laurie proofed it again. We're only human so five errors got past us. The most serious of the four errors is one piece that I mislabeled in a cutting list. All of the corrections are noted on the CD. When I prepared the files for the second printing, I entered (and Laurie proofed) the corrections to those five errors.

I plan to enter the book in book-design and cover-design competitions, so I made a number of tiny text-alignment adjustments that would only be noticed by someone judging typography. For my own aesthetic, I made color adjustments to a some of the decorative elements in the layout, including a couple of the pony dingbats and one drop shadow. Not that I was obsessing or anything like that. ;-)

Happily, only 9 or 10 blocks take 4 sheets; one takes 5 sheets; and the rest are pretty evenly split between 2 and 3 sheets. So that's not quite so bad.

    Hi janR,

There are three that simply cannot be paper pieced: A Beauty and Gold Nuggets because of the Y seams, and Elsie's Favorite because of the curved pieces. I think those are easier for hand piecers.
