Mine was like this with the downloads. Exact same problem. So, I went in my cd and downloaded them from there and those are correct.

The problem is in the ones that you download only. Just print them off from the cd instead and it will be perfect.

Now that I come to think about it-- I didn't use the templates for measuring--when looking at the book I saw that the block itself is quartered --so I knew that the length had to be 3 1/2 " with the seam allowance ---half the size of the block completed after sewing.

Ladies, hust an FUI......when printing your templetes, make sure you printer is set to 100%, no scaling. If it is not your templetes will not print the correct size..

I never thought about it until now when I read the latest postings, but I've been printing all my templates from the CD. I had the other ones downloaded, but deleted them when I got the CD. So when I said the templates were accurate, I was thinking of the CD ones.

errr .... ummmm .... does anybody mind if i toss a question out for consideration?

if this is the topic for blocks 1 & 2, why are we already talking baskets, and other blocks from down the road?

i'm not trying to be contrary. it just occurs to me that if somebody needs advice about 1 & 2, they'll have to sift through conversations about other blocks in order to find it.

perhaps the "work ahead" conversations could move over to the general discussion until we get to the blocks concerned.

    whatcha think?

We should be posting our comments for the blocks on the appropiate page. The page we are in right now is for blocks 1 and 2.
Every week there will be a new page for the rotary instructions, new page for photos, new page for discussions .

Today I checked the templates 6 and 9 from Block 3 the basket and they measure 3 inches not 3.5 inches. I printed them from the templates on the cd that cmae with the book. Anyway I had advice and made them bigger and now just have to square the block up.
