And now for 3 and 4. I really need to look at the example in the book closer. I did some pieces in the wrong color, etc. But once again I am going by the opinion that it will all blend together in the end.

My blocks, 3 & 4 - I have never appliqued so, my basket handle is less than wonderful! :-( But, it's staying that way until I get enough gumption to fix it!

    Welcome to the group Junepot,

Your blocks are lovely....I am also working with some CW fabrics and I agree with you about using some light values and colors to keep it from being a very dark and somber quilt....

Ok, here is my 3rd block. I am so glad there are only two handles in this quilt... It took me two hours just to put in on. The rest of the block was super easy. Hopefully I can catch up with you guys soon. Tell me what you think about the handle. I'm debating on redoing it.

Okay I am soooo done with block number 3 after hours of only getting one side done and now spending what seemed like forever on trying to sew the other side I give. It has beat me for now.

I will come back to it at a later date and time.

SO here is my block #3 with only one side of the handle sewn and block # 4 and it does not look half as bad as the scan makes it look

I am ready to move on

    :P
