The bow is so great! Embellishment is allowed! I forgot about that. Love all the ideas. I keep thinking I want to make 2 of these quits so I can be less serious with the second one. But I'm new at this game so you guys are all teaching me.

Block three---I had better be careful or I might lose my status as a slacker.....but I have not started block four....

    Darcene

For some reason the scan made the background a weird pink tint....it is actually a medium cream tone......now time for some serious slacking........

Strip piecing, of course!!! Brilliant & so obvious. Now I just hate myself for going through all the rigamarole of cutting 4 little strips of each of the 3 colors.

    Nice blocks, Darcene.

These blocks are looking wonderful. I'm still Queen Slacker as I've not even started 3 or 4 except to choose my fabrics.
Darcene, you can No Longer claim title of Slacker you are banned from slacker kingdom from this time til next week at least at which time perhaps you will regain your title we will see.

M.J. you are most worthy to be dubbed Slacker Page!

Ah well, this is what happens when I get too far ahead ... I already had blocks 3 & 4 done before their rotary cutting info. was posted (ditto blocks 5 & 6, 7 & 8).

I just couldn't deal with making a block that looked like a swastika.

So, with a little playing I came up with a color/pattern combination that worked for me.....
