I don't take off the paper until I'm ready to do the sashing or whatever the block will be connected to. I do them in a bunch watching tv. I place a piece of cloth over my lap and with the help of my seam ripper I pick the difficult pieces out. . .when I get up from sitting they fall all over the floor, sofa and alot sticks to me....then I just vacuum it up. In my younger days I would peel the wet labels from beer bottles and peel apart the coasters. In art class we used to paint our hands with the rubber cement..let it dry ..then rub it off. I know it's weird but that's me...so you can say I really don't mind the mess. Honchey/Anne

Since I used my templates more than once, I put a piece of double-faced tape on the back, which kept the template in place until I finished cutting and was ready to go for the next time it was needed. I kept the "taped" templates on plastic sheet protectors so they wouldn't stick to each other.

Here are my blocks 7: Birds in the air and 8: Bouquet. For these I tried to follow the color scheme of the book, to the extent that I had similar color fabrics. I love making these little guys! I have pp'd all of them so far, my absolute favorite technique.

Here I am again popping back in to say "hello". Hello!!!! I was just reading a few of the posts on these last pages, so am putting in my two-bits' worth. oksewglad, I can't really do PP either. I am directionally challenged (if that makes any sense to you) and have to be very careful at all times that I get my pieces put together correct, so I don't need the extra confusion caused by PP. I did sew my FWS bits/pieces/blocks onto paper, though ... I used all the copy paper that was left over after I cut out my templates; it served as a stabilizer when I sewed all the little pieces & sections together. My stitch length was short and the paper came off very easily and left no bits behind. I did occasionally use adding machine paper for stitching on the bias; it does leave little paper bits behind.
I'm enjoying seeing all the "new" blocks that are posted.

Oh weezie, I know exactly what you mean--I have a difficult time telling my left from my right--always have to stop and think which is which and my mind is otherwise racing ahead. I did watch someone's Youtube video on PP (a recommended site from the QB) and that helped me. Thanks for stopping by and giving us moral support!
