I love your use of stripes. I think that gives it such flair. Beautiful. Well here goes. I am going to try one of them. Not sure which one yet. I am new at this. Wish me luck :D

Here's mine - although I've learned not to use a directional print (the off white) when I'm doing a new pattern! oops lol

Can I ask how difficult these blocks were to do?

I have been asked to make a quilt for a friend's daughter, my friend has asked for something reasonably simple because her daughter won't appreciate the work that is involved.

I love the effect of these blocks, and the pattern would set off the fabric she has chosen just beautifully.

BUT (and you knew there was a 'but' coming didn't you!) if the blocks take too long to put together it won't be worth it. It's subjective, I know, it might be a quick block for some but take ages for others. So I guess just I'm after opinions, how easy was the block to put together for you?

    :-)

    Hi BlueChicken,
I thought the block was fairly easy. The one I posted was my first one, and I wish I would have used more contrasting fabrics. I made another out of the material I'm now doing them all in, and I got goofed on which color was going where. lol!! Just do one up and see how it goes for you! The first one, for me, is always the hardest though, in getting the directions figured out.

So it is possible to goof! LOL

You're right, I might just make a test block and see how it goes.
