I'm sure that "someone" will come up with a book, quilt pattern or something that we can all do together to keep us together! I know Jan and I both hate applique, so we would vote a resounding "no" on that type of quilt! LOL In fact I think Jan had a quilt in mind when we decided on the Pony Club. Maybe she will hop in here with her thoughts!

Don't know who you mean by FWS Pioneers and this wouldn't be another pony ride. We're just thinking out loud.

QNSue...I'm trying to keep ahead of my scraps before they overrun me so yesterday I picked out a pattern and did a couple trial blocks and then cut strips from one small tub. If only I can keep at it, in time I will have another top from scraps. I didn't know that Elm Creek was hand work and JeanieG, appliqué wouldn't be my choice either.

Applique wouldn't be my choice either ... though if it were simple and perhaps something FUN ... I'd be interested as I know it's something I should learn to like!!!

As for certain people saying they were not PP'ers ... oh how times have changed!!

I just purchased Judy Niemeyer Quilting foundation paper piecing 60" by 72" pattern called Three ducks in a Row today. Perfect for scrap quilting or selecting special color palette. It takes the equivalent of 20 light fat quarters and 20 dark fat quarters, 1/2 yd for inner border, 3/4 yd for binding and 4 1/2 yards for backing, and 90" batting; pattern is $25.00. Also matched by fabhohpshop material with pattern and two other colors and another project a quilt throw in turquoise fabric as the center of design.

It's not that I don't like to applique, it's I just have a hard time sitting down to handstitch or handpiece. I'm saving that for retirement HAHA

I've learned to stand at my serger and sew away, does that count?

All part of the "exercise" program!
And I know some do their regular sewing standing too .... all what you're used to.

I just googled that pattern and it says it's paper pieced. Is that how you will do it or will you use your neat flying geese trick you showed us earlier?

Undecided. It might be my dh project for next winter or if we would decide to do it on QB. Project could be called "Getting all our ducks in a row"....I have a Kona butter and a Kona cream to use the light blocks in the quilt.
