The FWS 30"s Quiltalong Week 21 Block 41 Granny & Block 42 Heather

I agree with that, Jan. It's not so much that I feel accountable-- because nothing much will happen if I stop (there is not really a responsibility involved because no one blames anyone else for going at their own pace)-- but I agree in the sense that it's fun to do it in a group, and that makes me want to continue (fun for myself, and hopefully to add to the fun for others).

Here's Granny! This gray peacock feather fabric was really pretty and I cut 8 holes in it. :-p I was tempted to turn the pieces so it was a pinwheel, but didn't succumb and left the pattern as in the book.
My Granny dressed 'to the 9's.' She came from the old country and continued here her whole life wearing fashions from earlier days: fur coats, pumps and stockings, pearls, tailored dresses, and fancy hats. (I had two grandmothers that never wore pants.) She played the piano beautifully, could knit any pattern with skill, and was a terrible cook. My mother joked that Granny couldn't even make jello without it being grainy.
