Thanks ladies. So do you think reversing the image is the answer? The block looks fine as it is as you can see with everyone's blocks but I also wondered if that had anything to do with outer ring pieces not lining up well.

I printed the paper piecing templates. Scanned them to my computer and used Windows to reverse the image, no problem, but I cannot get the size right.

The pattern does not reverse itself and fit properly... if you use the template pattern, on the right side of the fabric, then use the right side of the pp...paper piecing... and it will fit. I had to use my surgical pins to pin it each time to get the fabric in the right place to fold over properly.. . the second piece in from the center gave me the worst problems... so I would stick a pin in on where the seam line was, fold it over and check to see if that was where the seam should go, or adjust it a bit, and then sew it on. if it still gives you a problem, Pam, I will take a picture of what I am saying and post or send it to you. Printer to be set at 'actual size' or no sizing to print the right size.

Thanks QNS. I think I may have found a way. I remembered I have a brand new light box, I printed the templates for paper piecing and am tracing them in reverse. I will let you know how that works out. Seems easier for me.

I think I'm going to have to do the same thing, Pam. Frustrating!

Well the light box tracing went well so now I will sew the blocks and let you know how they turn out.

I use a light box on all pp... its my machine Sew through platform and an under the counter cheap underneath light that creates the 'light box'. I still pin each piece before I sew, to prevent ripping out the seam. Good luck on the block ladies!

Ok, here is the finished Anne. Not perfect but I am happy with it. It turned out better than the first one.

It looks great, Pam. My son just went through the steps with me of getting a mirror image of a pdf document and it's way more complicated than simply following your lead and tracing it. Of course, I could spend $400 for the full Adobe program to get the capability -- not!

Thanks katybob. It didn't take long to trace it. This will be my method of choice if I have to do it again. Cool thing is I bought that lightbox a long time ago and never used it. Glad I had it.
