Default The FWS 30's Quiltalong week 44 Block 87 Prudence & Block 88 Rosemary

Good Morning Ladies, I'm on time for a change

Taking a look at these two blocks all I can say is "Phew" about Prudence and Rosemary has a lot of seams but seems to be straight forward..

    Anyone have them done??

Here's my version of this week's blocks. I am so tired of these blocks, and no offense to Laurie, I done with anything FWS related LOL!

Those are gorgeous, Jan! Those blue batiks are so soothing. I haven't even looked at mine yet. Maybe today...

I love those blue batiks, too. Wish I'd followed Jan's lead and made a different block instead of Prudence. That one's a mess and won't make the cut when I finally put the quilt together.

Those are great, katybob. When you turn Prudence on point she looks perfect!

Didn't realize Jan had made a sub. Still haven't looked at the blocks. I've been distracted by row patterns and license plates! Someone on another thread got me thinking about tent camping and road tripping for rows!

Ok, here they are. I spent a ridiculous amount of time on these two blocks. And Prudence! What sadistic mind thought up that block. It's the hardest one yet. If any block in this book were to be skipped, it ought to be this one!! Tons of unpicking and retrying... I felt as though I deserved a big bowl of ice cream just for getting it done. Seriously, this block caused me to look through the rest of the book to see if there was anything else as painful coming up. Hated it.... and I also inadvertently used the print for the background and the solid for the contrast, opposite of what I intended. Oops. Anyway, that mother is done.

    Rosemary was just time consuming.

But they turned out great, SBG. And you learned a valuable lesson: skip this one next time LOL!
