CarrieM ... it is indeed a nice print and with the assorted colours it gives you lots to jump off to other colours with! So the points don't quite match ... there's always a little shift with quilting, so chances are it'll never be noticed later! It still makes for a nice star!

Anael .. while I have your attention
I know you haven't been following all the threads as you've been busy with your Ode to Mom ... I hope you would join us for the PC Bonus Block Swap
Here's the start of the discussion ...
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/blocks-...198948-10.html
That happened when I was away from the threads for awhile ... the end result is that we make a block for each person (currently 11, with you that'd be 12, if including ourself). Same size as PC blocks, any pattern, all the same or different. You can label each for specific people if you make individual ones. Then we send them all off to CarrieM, she re-sorts and sends them all back to us.

    Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?

Such great blocks everyone has made. I just finished Dakota Star. My last blocks were made June 13. Yikes! 3 of my centre points played nice and one, not so much, but I am really happy with the contrast of this block.

w4me, the dark fabric brings out a shimmer in the light...great contrast...and well once in a while points just don't want to play nice--galloping horse observation!!!

Ooh, I'm so glad you're doing some more blocks. It makes me take a little trip down memory lane and doing these blocks (most of the memories are pleasant, some not so good LOL). I love the way you're using your fabrics. And OKSewglad, great pun (intended??) about the galloping horse rule/Pony Club quilt!

W4Me! .... This is great news, to see you back in the Halloween PC Saddle!

Look how the orange in the dark webs, pull out the orange from that sage. It is really a chameleon fabric.
You like your buttons and trims ... I'm sure you could find one that would be perfect as a camo for that off-point point.

Here's hoping we get to see more again, soon!

Thank you. I'm being really picky about which blocks I make with which fabrics with the hope of getting the most bang for my buck. My note on Dakota Star was 'needs major contrast'.

I plan to keep making blocks for a while janRN. It will likely be sporadic as time is not my friend these days.

So far, I have 25 blocks done. The original goal was 63 for the twin size quilt. Now I am not so sure. I believe I have 18 Halloween batiks that have not been used yet so that will influence my decision. And I have a new idea for my centre square which will take up quite a bit of time, too, if it works, or even if it doesn't.
